Thermoplastic rubbers (TPR) and thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) are copolymers, or blends of polymers, that have the properties of both thermoplastic and elastomeric materials.
Advantages of using TPR as the backing:
1. Environmentally friendly and non-toxic: TPR material is recyclable, adheres to environmental trends, and contains no heavy metals or other harmful substances, with minimal odor.
2. Good flexibility: Its elasticity is similar to rubber, making the turf softer and more comfortable underfoot. At the same time, it maintains good flexibility at low temperatures and is not prone to hardening or cracking in cold weather.
3. Strong weather resistance: It has excellent aging resistance, hydrolysis resistance, and mold resistance. Even in humid or extreme temperature environments, the turf is not easily delaminated or powdered.
4. Strong adhesion: In a heated molten state, it can penetrate and cover the roots of the grass fibers well. Once cooled, it provides reliable pull-off strength, ensuring that the grass fibers do not easily come off.
